Born and raised in the heart of NYC, Louis Bocknight IV discovered his love for the arts at the age of five — a passion that propelled him to read, perform, and create music. From elementary school jazz bands to high school arts programs, his creative energy was unstoppable.
Traveling around the world expanded his cultural horizons and fueled his artistic vision, shaping him into a storyteller with a unique voice in film and media. Louis launched Modern Mansa Media with a bold vision: to bring back the power of soundtracks that live where the story lives — elevating the viewer’s emotional experience while staying true to authentic Black stories.
Today, he partners with independent Black filmmakers, new Black artists, and Afro-centric creators to build powerful multi media production campaigns that honor Black culture films and urban music at the highest level.
